Camellia Green

Hello, my name is Camellia Green.

I came into the mission on May 8, 2018, and graduated on January 8, 2019. Before I came to the mission, I knew God but didn’t have a relationship with Him. When I was 18, I started doing drugs. I tried nearly every drug you can imagine, and my life spiraled out of control. I had my son when I was 23, and shortly after that, I lost custody of him and everything else in my life, from my job to my family.

But God. That's all I can say. He led me to the mission, and there I was able to build a real relationship with Him. Knowing God truly changed my heart and my life—I was finally alive.

Today, I am six and a half years clean. I have my own house, car, and a great job. But the greatest blessing of all is that God restored my relationship with my family, and I’ve had custody of my son again for three years. God also brought a wonderful, godly man into my life—my best friend and now my husband. Without God, none of these accomplishments would be possible. I wouldn’t have the life I have today, and it's all thanks to our Father in heaven.

Always be patient and wait on the Lord. In His time, He will restore everything the enemy has taken from you—I am living proof of that. The scripture I stood on in the mission, and still stand on, is Jeremiah 29:11:

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
